Audio File: Please Visit & Subscribe my Youtube Channel : Keleedas Kobita আজ বাংলা সাহিত্যের জনক বিদ্যাসাগরের জন্মদিন। ভারতবর্ষের শিক্ষার প্রসারে বিদ্যাসাগরের অবদান অনস্বীকার্ষ। তিনি সবসময় মানুষের পরোপকার করতেন, তাই তাকে মানুষ ʼদয়ার সাগরʼ বলে ডাকতো। গোঁড়া ব্রাহ্মণ পরিবারে তিনি জন্মেছিলেন।কিন্তু সামাজিক গোঁড়ামি এবং বিভিন্ন কুসংস্কার ছেড়ে তিনি আজীবন সামাজিক কুপ্রথা যেমন বিধবা বিবাহ, মেয়েদের পড়াশুনা শেখানো ইত্যাদি ব্যাপারে চিরদিন সামাজিক প্রথা ভেঙ্গে সেইসব কাজে ব্রতী হয়েছিলেন। তিনি সংস্কৃত অনুরাগী ছিলেন। সংস্কৃত অধ্যাপনা ছাড়াও বেশ কিছুদিন তিনি কোলকাতা বিশ্ব বিদ্যালয়ের সংস্কৃত কলেজে প্রিন্সিপ্যাল ছিলেন। বম্কিমচন্দ্রের মতে, বিদ্যাসাগর মহাশয় সংস্কৃত অনুরাগী হওয়া সত্তেও তার বাংলা ভাষা অতি সুমধুর ও মনোহর ছিল। রবীন্দ্রনাথ ঠাকুর থাঁর সমন্ধে বলেছেন, যারা অতীতের জড় বাধা…
