For Ganesh Chaturthi and Anant Chaturdashi, they say,
These dates shall be special, in a unique way.
Lalbaugcha Raja, the grandest of them all,
From Lalbaug to Girgaon Chowpatti, they’ll heed the call,
A majestic procession, winding its way,
Through the heart of Mumbai, on this sacred day.
GSB Seva Mandal in Sion, another divine site,
Blessings await those who endure the wait’s bite,
A replica of Badrinath, a temple so grand,
In the procession, through Mumbai’s land.
Andheri Cha Raja, in the western part of town,
In the evening, it’s bustling, lights aglow, and renowned,
Covering Versova, Andheri, and more,
A festive atmosphere, you can’t ignore.
Khetwadi Cha Ganraj, from 1959 it stands,
A timeless tradition in Mumbai’s lands,
Cultural programs, religious rites they display,
In the heart of Girgaum, where devotion holds sway.
Mumbai’s streets come alive, with music and dance,
In this festival of devotion, where emotions enhance,
From one pandal to another, they make their way,
In Mumbai’s grand celebration, every heart’s at bay.
