Katyayani, the fierce, the bold, the strong,

In Navaratri’s light, we sing her song,

Slayer of Mahishasura, demon untamed,

With four, ten, or eighteen hands, she’s famed.

A warrior goddess, in red she’s dressed,

Fierce Shakti, she’s known as the best,

Associated with power and divine might,

In her presence, the world’s set right.

First in Taittiriya Aranyaka she’s found,

A tale of Gods’ anger, with a warrior’s sound,

Riding on a lion, she conquered the dark,

An annual Durga Puja, her victory’s mark.

Devi-Bhagavata Purana, her story unfurls,

In Devi Mahatmyam, her valor whirls,

Sage Markandeya’s words in ancient verse,

Her divine power, the universe immersed.

In Yoga, Tantra, her third eye does shine,

The Ajna Chakra, where her blessings align,

Katyayani, fierce, the bold, the strong,

In her embrace, we all belong.
