In the land of Vrindavan, a legend was born,
On Janmashtami morning, a new day was dawned,
Baby Krishna, with mischief in His eyes,
A divine child, a sweet surprise.
Yashoda’s darling, the butter thief’s delight,
He brought joy and laughter, day and night,
With a peacock feather adorning His hair,
Krishna danced with gopis, a love affair.
Flute in hand, He played a melodious tune,
Under the moon’s glow, ‘neath the silver monsoon,
His enchanting music, like a soothing balm,
Calmed every heart, like a tranquil palm.
The divine Leela, His playful escapade,
In the lap of nature, where Krishna laid,
Stealing butter, a mischievous spree,
Yet in His eyes, pure love, for all to see.
Janmashtami’s sweet delight, a festival of cheer,
Devotees sing and dance, drawing Krishna near,
With devotion and love, they celebrate this day,
In His divine presence, they find their way.
So, let us rejoice, on this sacred occasion,
In Krishna’s name, with hearts full of elation,
Janmashtami’s sweet delight, a divine feast,
In the Lord’s grace, our souls find peace.
With friends, He played in the Yamuna’s embrace,
Splashing water, a joyful water race,
Little Krishna’s laughter, like music in the air,
Innocent moments, beyond compare.
Flute in hand, He played a melodious tune,
Under the moon’s glow, ‘neath the silver monsoon,
His enchanting music, like a soothing balm,
Calmed every heart, like a tranquil palm.
The divine Leela, His playful escapade,
In the lap of nature, where Krishna laid,
Stealing butter, a mischievous spree,
Yet in His eyes, pure love, for all to see.
This is a festival of cheer,
Devotees sing and dance, drawing Krishna near,
With devotion and love, they celebrate this day,
In His divine presence, they find their way.
So, let us rejoice, on this sacred occasion,
In Krishna’s name, with hearts full of elation,
Janmashtami’s sweet delight, a divine feast,
In the Lord’s grace, our souls find peace.
